When I think about how we people came to populate the earth, there must have been a way that caused so many of us to flourish. There were no hospitals. There were no birth centers. People did have each other. How long do you think it actually took our ancestors to understand the process of birth so they could trust it? Was it instinctual? If it was instinctual, when did we lose that ability to instinctually birth?
Today, almost everywhere around the world, there are now hospitals to access. There are birth centers to go to. And there are places where people birth in their own homes. We have ads that promote using the more medicalized model for birth. We have people specially trained to deliver babies for the mommy. We have mommies who let others tell them what to do. We have mommies who do not trust themselves to be able to decide what is best for themselves or their babies. We have ads that promote birth as a scary endeavor and we have schools that show birth as needing to be fixed. That seems sad.
If we were passing on the wisdom of the past wise mothers, it would seem each of us women could access that wisdom. Maybe we actually can. It is just that many of us don’t know how to access that wisdom from the universe. Probably the universe is waiting to be asked. Can we trust that which we can not see and that which we have not been taught?
Some women have learned the skills of accessing wisdom from the universe and wisdom from their inner body, and wisdom from their inner emotions and wisdom from their intuition. I believe every single woman has this skill that is hidden, but ready to show itself when called upon. I have certain ways that I can teach a mommy to discover her inner being, but my way is not the only way. There are many routes to finding this wisdom, this knowing. Finding that space will empower a mother to be independently wise and knowing for her own health, for her own pregnancy or for her own wisdom. Mommies can be totally confident that what they learn in pregnancy and in life, is enough for them to be a wise woman, a wise mommy and a wise health practitioner for her family.
Natural birth is possible outside our world’s current medicalized birth system. Every mother could be sure about herself and her baby, and her own personal health if she wanted to learn and know. If you my reader already have the tools that give you that confidence, wisdom and knowledge, I am happy for you. I do believe it is possible to have a Natural birth outside our medicalized Birth system. I have seen most beautiful births. I have seen a mother catch her own baby. I have seen mother and father work so well as a team after understanding the hormonal process of birth that they did not need me to tell them what they needed to do next. I supported them and watched carefully so to be aware of any possible situation, and yet, no emergency situation arrived. Nature took care of mother, father and baby. When parents are prepared, when nature is believed and trusted, when there is knowledge mixed with a natural and healthy fear in the process of birth, the surprising symphony of movement progresses with natural beauty. Baby is able to enter into a welcoming world of love and of calm. In Touch and In Tune has classes that teach the natural hormonal process of a natural and undisturbed birth. Reach out if you are interested in taking a birth class that is not hospital connected, but nature connected. Again, email me at balance@intouchandintune.com
